Internal Communication and Engagement

Most scholarship devoted to internal communication and employee engagement uses the corporation or traditional business setting to explore these areas. Although insightful, the lived experiences of internal stakeholders in institutions is absent from the conversation, making it a salient focus for the Internal Communication and Engagement initiative. 

This initiative will push scholars to think beyond the corporation to capture the engagement experiences of internal audiences in other types of organizations, including science organizations, higher education, and political and religious organizations. Guided by co-creation, this initiative attempts to understand the experiences of internal audiences so communication can be thoughtfully developed and sent, creating more equitable and fulfilling organizational experiences.
